Klimt - 5th Grade Square ONE
I can recreate a tree using the Gustav Klimt style.
Gustav Klimt (July 14, 1862 – February 6, 1918 - age 56) Austrian symbolist painter.
Gustav Klimt painted the “Tree of Life” (painted in 1905)which is an important symbol in nearly every culture.
The swirling branches create mythical symbolism, suggesting the perpetuity of life. The branches twist, twirl, turn, spiral and undulate, creating a tangle of strong branches, and long vines are an expression of life's complexity. With its branches reaching for the sky, the tree of life roots into the earth beneath, creating the connection between heaven and earth, a concept often used to explain the concept of the tree of life, in many cultures.

- "Gold Phase" He used gold leaf.
- The swirled branches make people want to keep looking at the painting to explore and find more.
- Even with the mixed up patterns and swirly branches we still will always recognize it as The Tree of Life.
